What is felt and why choose it?

Felt is a popular choice for walls because it creates a smooth and uniform surface, which is ideal for painting or wallpaper. It is often used as an alternative to glass tissue and is particularly suitable for hiding small irregularities in the wall.

Advantages of felt:

  • Durability: Felt protects the walls from cracks and damage.
  • Aesthetics: Provides an even and smooth surface.
  • Flexibility: Perfect as a substrate for painting or wallpaper.
  • Easy maintenance: The walls remain nice and clean for many years.

  1. Preparation: We start by removing old wallpaper or wall covering and make sure that the wall is clean and smooth.
  2. Full sparring: If necessary, we fully putty the wall to create a perfect base for the felt.
  3. Setting up felt: We set up the felt with precision and ensure that all edges and joints are flawless.
  4. Finishing: Once the felt is in place, we make sure that the wall is ready for painting.

What is the difference between glass felt and glass tissue?

Glass Blanket was originally developed for the purpose of reinforcing walls, but in the modern interior its use is primarily aesthetic. It is especially popular among those who want to update or renew the look of their walls with an easy and maintenance-friendly solution. In addition to being visually appealing, glass felt is also highly functional, as it is suitable for strengthening fragile walls, such as plaster walls, which can be more prone to cracking and damage. Glass felt additionally effectively protects against scratches and scrapes, making it an ideal choice for areas subject to abrasion. When it comes to building structures, glass felt can also play an important role in discouraging cracking, especially in the ceiling, which is an undesirable effect many households want to avoid.

Glass Tissue Reminiscent in many respects of glass felt and can serve as an excellent alternative to traditional wallpaper in a variety of dry rooms within the home. It is important to note that glass felt has a smooth and uniform surface, which makes it a very popular choice among Danes when they want to decorate their homes. On the other hand, glass tissue has a more rough and textured surface, which gives it a different visual character and tactile sensation.
